GWYSL is Powered by Volunteers.
We are a non-profit, ALL-VOLUNTEER organization dedicated to youth soccer. We receive no public funds and all of our expenses are paid from the registration fees of the children who play. We expect all parents to participate in a volunteer role.

Help the Coaches prepare for the season!
Duties: The Division Coordinators are responsible for the operation of their respective divisions. They will recruit the coaches for their Division early in the season planning process. The Division Coordinator also provides a line of communication between the Regional Board and the coaches, referees and parents in their division. The Coordinators are responsible for getting coaches to submit player evaluations online at the end of the season.
Time commitment: 5 - 10 hours at the beginning of the season to allocate teams and get coach volunteers. 1 hour a week once the season begins.

Division Coordinators

Referees
It may be the only time the kids listen to you on the field!
Duties: Enjoy your child’s game more by becoming a referee and understanding the rules of the game. Each team is to provide one Referee for one game each Saturday. All training and uniforms are provided ahead of the season.
Time commitment: After training, 1 hour per game week for 5-10 weeks. Some folks do more, some folks do a bit less

Coaches
You don't need any experience. We'll train you! And you and your child will remember it forever.
Duties: Run games. Enthusiasm and positive attitude are more valuable than knowledge of the game.
Time commitment: Average of 2 hours per week, plus 2 hours training.

Field Crew
Prefer to contribute in a HUGE way without managing kids? Join our amazing Field Crew!
Duties: Help measure and paint the field lines.
Time commitment: 1 hour every other week for the duration of the season

Team Managers
Be the glue that keeps your team together!
Duties: Work with parents on your child’s team to help link them up with volunteer roles, coordinate team snack, and help the coach by communicating games.
Special Event Helpers
An easy-peasy way to help the league!
Duties: Help with Special Events like coaches’ night, opening day, and/or the end of season snack & trophy distribution!
